Sudheekshan Foundation's major activity is to give new life to road accident victims with imported limbs.
Growing road accidents are increasing disability in India. Crashes on roads claim the lives of about 1, 50,000 people and disable at least 7, 50,000 each year. Large shares of them are pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcyclists. 35% of youth get disabled due to road accidents. While conducting the road safety awareness programs, we came across many youth who were road accident victims without limbs. We decided to give new life to road accident victims with artificial limbs and started on August 18, 2007, inaugurated by the district collector of Krishna Sri Naveen Mittal.
We are providing victims with artificial legs, hands, motorized wheelchairs, wheel chairs and calipers. We are giving to educating young people and school-going children with comfortable and costly imported legs & hands (prosthetic).
The general public is giving jaipur limbs.
Our services are mostly used by Andhra Pradesh and Telangana victims.
We are conducting a six-month general camp twice a year and giving limbs to hundreds of victims.
We are spending rs 50,000 to 120000 on imported legs and hands to educate youth and children according to size.
We are spending rs 5000 to 15000 on jaipur legs and calipers.
We are spending rs 50,000 to 120000 for motorized wheel chairs (three wheel scooters) and 5000 to 15000 for wheel chairs.
Many NRI donors are supporting this program.
